Gobi Paradise

GOBI PARADISE is a documentary that takes the form of a contemporary fairy tale in which the world of the spirits and dreams emerge. It is only by getting into the Mongolian cosmology and their way of perceiving the world that we will understand what they are suffering. Plagues in the form of illnesses, deaths, and droughts are threatening the community: spirits are getting angry because its inhabitants have forgotten their ancestors. In the name of progress, Mongolians have accepted massive environmental disasters and corruption, denying a basic belief on which their identity is based.
